High-Frequency Ignition

High-frequency ignition provides precise, non-contact arc starting to help minimize tungsten contamination and improve starting performance.

Gas Test & Purging

The gas-test function allows shielding-gas flow to be checked and adjusted without igniting the welding arc. The system can also be used to purge the torch hose package following extended periods of inactivity.

Pulse & TAC

The PTD Pulse/TAC display function adds Pulse and TAC parameters to the control-panel function curve, giving the operator additional control over the welding process.

Advanced Stick Welding Functions

• Universal Pulse Mode: Helps improve control during out-of-position welding and increases gap-bridging capability, particularly when welding vertical-up seams.
• Anti-Stick: If the electrode sticks and creates a short circuit, the power source shuts down welding current to help prevent electrode overheating and weld defects.
